Why the switch?

The blog switch is because I'm not very techno savvy and could not figure out what to do with the covblog thing, where the blogspot was easy to set up. I also started a blog experimentally, in preparation for future disasters/trips where I would post a journal online, rather than sending updates, so this is more of a long term blog.
The email switch was because hotmail was annoying me and everyone was raving about gmail and the conversation tracking ability.

Where in the world is THAT house? I am assuming GA somewhere? It looks huge, at least from the outside. And it looks like it has great scenery. We're looking for a house too - hoping to move in the spring...

Slidell again, again

Took a team of 30 to Slidell again for continued Katrina efforts. Team included my Dad, New City folks, Covenant RUF folks, and Tim with some guys from Elon. Trinity is almost redone and looks good. The new pastor, Todd, seems nice, came out and worked with us a few days. Lionel and Rebekah had Dad and I over for fried catfish and jambalaya. Due to the serious shortage of teachers thay have both gone back to work - at 70! Landon and Donna are both working lots, so their house is making slow progress. We bought them some insulation but weren't able to do much more. JD has been talking to his former wife's family and daughter that I tracked down in South Africa. They sent him a Zulu head dress that he wears around constantly. Thankfully he can't see how it looks. Evelyn has gone to Trinity a few times, but still remains largely undecided about her trailer.
